Ocean Container Liner Service

One World Shipping Network offers the full spectrum of Ocean freight shipping possibilities, no matter how big or small your transportation needs may be.

As a leading international shipping company based in Miami, One World Shipping Network offers worldwide container shipping services from the United States and other foreign ports of loading.

Please give us a call or submit an quote inquiry and our shipping agents will assist you in determining what type and size of container you will need. Container shipping can be slightly expensive compared to other shipping methods. However, one must remember that the container ensures that your cargo will be safe on arrival.

There are three distinct methods for loading your cargo into a shipping container at a port, prior to delivery.

  •  Live Load

Live loading your cargo into a shipping container means that we arrange to have an empty container delivered to you at your loading location where you will then proceed to load the cargo into the container yourself. You will have approximately between two and three hours to load your cargo, while the driver waits. Once the container is loaded, it will be delivered to the port, and straight onto an ocean freighter.

  • Drop Off

Drop off service is when we arrange to have the container dropped off to you at the time of your choosing, allowing you as much time as you deem necessary to load the cargo into the container. This differs from Live Loading in that the driver will not be waiting on standby to deliver the container upon completion of loading the cargo.

  • Warehouse/Terminal Loading

This method is fairly straightforward. We arrange to have your cargo loaded onto the container at our warehouse. will handle the loading of your cargo onto the container for you and later transport container to the port of call.

TYPES OF OCEAN CARGO TRANSPORT:

  • FCL (Full Container Load) Containerized Cargo, Dry and Reefer containers.

  • LCL (Less than Container Load) Consolidation services for smaller loads to and from a wide range of destinations, from any origin in the states.

  • Break Bulk & Project Oversize equipment handling, loading & rigging services.

  • Lift on Lift off

  • Flat rack and Platform containers.

  • Vessel Charters.

  • Ro-Ro Services (Roll on – Roll off). Specialized vessel for transportation of rolling equipment as cars, trucks, cranes, etc.

  • Project Cargo (For Oversize over Weight Cargo & Industrial Projects)

High Cube Container:

Although similar to standard containers, high cube containers are 1 foot taller, and are usually 40 foot long. High cube containers can be used for shipping any type of cargo. However, it is commonly used to ship industrial machinery or vehicles. It is also commonly used for shipping tall cargo that would usually not fit in a standard container.

Fla-tracks / Flat bed containers:
Similar to a standard container but only has two walls at the beginning and at the end of the container. Sometimes the two walls can be collapsed to enable easy loading of the cargo. Flat rack container is mainly used to transport heavy goods e.g. industrial machinery.

Securely placing your smaller cargo in a standalone container or consolidated together with other similar shipment types. Containerized (FCL)provides service for smaller cargo that can securely fit on a Flat Rack or in a Enclosed or open container. In Enclosed Container with the proper loading cargo is protected from outside elements that can harm your shipment. Definitely, it is the most secure way to ship your cargo. On the other hand, in an Open Container or Flat Rack with a well supported base, as well as, proper bracing, lashing and/or blocking your cargo will be secure and safe for shipping, but unlike in an Enclosed Container, your cargo will be exposed to outside elements.

Consolidated Service (LCL) is often a more cost-effective method for cargo that fits in standard container dimensions and can be stuffed with other general merchandise going to the same destination. Another option is Shared Container Service this is when cargo inside a container is shared between several shippers.

Furthermore, Transporting cargo on board a liner vessel is the most reliable way to ensure it will arrive at its destination on time. Liner vessels follow a set schedule.  Liner vessels can be either Roll-on Roll Off vessel which primarily transport cars, or container liner vessels that move containers carrying varied cargo.

In Container Liner vessel Cargo is loaded on to specially designed cradles aboard container ships. for example a boat shipment will generally be invoiced on the volume it takes up aboard, ie the number of container slots that it uses, you have to consider this is the height as well, therefore if your cargo is over 5 meters you would be taking up 3 container stacks high as a shipping container is approximately 2.5 meters high. For example Boats are loaded from shore or from the water using the container gantry cranes into the positioned cradles aboard. Generally the yacht or boat will sit on flat rack containers (Container bases without sides or ends).
